Standard sash window repair service

Our standard sash window repair service includes:

• Removal of all beading and both sashes (top and bottom)

• Replacement of missing putty

• Remove excess paint on sash contact points to allow for smooth travel

• Check sashes for weight and add additional weight (if needed) so sashes counter balance

• Lubricate pulleys

• Refit top sash using new sash cords and checks for smooth operation

• Cut and install new parting beads

• Refit bottom sash using new sash cords and adjustments made to ensure alignment of meeting rail and lock

• Refit existing stop beads and complete window checks for smooth operation (new stop beads additional cost)

• Installment of new locks and window restrictors can be added at an additional cost

Draught proofing

The best way to modernise your windows and make them thermal efficient is to install a quality draught proofing system which can be installed on virtually every component of the window. The draught proofing service includes the renewal of sash cords, sash alignment and sash re balancing, pulley wheel service, putty repair (where needed) along with our own manufactured draught proof beading installed in both parting beads and stop beads. A draught sealing system can keep the cold chill out, keep the road dust out, prevent any rattle sound and keep your energy bills down!

Glass options

If you would like to upgrade your single glazed original glass to improve safety, reduce noise and keep temperature control then we have a number of smart solutions for you.
